Esther Elliott Martin Scholarship

NursingABC is pleased to announce the creation of the Esther Elliott Martin Scholarship.  Each year several $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to NursingABC participating schools, for presentation to qualified students and application toward those students' nursing school tuition and fees.

This scholarship program has been established in memory of Esther Elliott Martin in tribute to her lifelong commitment to education.  As a reflection of her Christian faith, she gave tirelessly of her time and resources, demonstrating respect and concern for each student.

The 2007 Esther Elliott Martin Scholarships

have been awarded to

the following students:

Ngaire Peckford-Stoops,

a second-year student at

Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing,

Michelle Williams,

a second-year student at

Conemaugh School of Nursing,

and

Marie Wilson,

a second-year student at

Heritage Valley Sewickley School of Nursing.

How does NursingABC determine which nursing school will award the scholarships?

NursingABC will select participating schools that demonstrate commitment to non-traditional students and applicants.

What are the student qualifications for receiving the scholarship?

These scholarships are awarded annually to current non-traditional nursing students who exhibit financial need and have demonstrated a commitment to fulfilling their educational goals.

Because there is no application process for these scholarships, students should not contact NursingABC or participating schools to inquire about the scholarship program.
