| Conversion Factor from Units |

Earlier you were told "ANY CONVERSION IS DONE BY USING ONE SIMPLE OPERATION". This simple operation is multiplication of the original quantity by a fraction called a conversation factor. A conversion factor is a fraction made up of the two units that you are trying to interconvert. The original unit must be on the bottom of the conversion factor fraction and the new unit must be on the top of the conversion factor fraction. Then to finish the conversion factor we put numbers in front of each unit which make the units equal then to. Then we complete the conversion process we multiply the original quantity by the conversion factor. To review this basic principle by which we convert quantity to an equivalent quantity with different units we do the following (we'll then learn how to use the principle):
